Am I Ferrous Cranus or Tireless Rebutter

Post by Bill Bisco: Isometric Imp »

I made a thread and have been responding to it for awhile. The thread gets relevant to my points on page two. The thread is here The discussion is about 1E D&D rules regarding ability scores.

So if you care to read the thread from that point. Am I Ferrous Cranus or Tireless Rebutter?

Ferrous Cranus Description:
Ferrous Cranus is utterly impervious to reason, persuasion and new ideas, and when engaged in battle he will not yield an inch in his position regardless of its hopelessness. Though his thrusts are decisively repulsed, his arguments crushed in every detail and his defenses demolished beyond repair he will remount the same attack again and again with only the slightest variation in tactics. Sometimes out of pure frustration Philosopher will try to explain to him the failed logistics of his situation, or Therapist will attempt to penetrate the psychological origins of his obduracy, but, ever unfathomable, Ferrous Cranus cannot be moved.

Tireless Rebutter Description:

For Tireless Rebutter there is no such thing as a trivial dispute. He regards all challenges as barbarians at the gates. His unflagging tenacity in making his points numbs and eventually wears down the opposition. Confident that his arguments are sound, Tireless Rebutter can't understand why he is universally loathed.

Everyone else is Tireless Rebutter...you are just asking questions trying to understand. They jsut won't help you. Welcome to DF and the reason I left years ago and was done with Steve and Solom's crap way of running a forum that they won't even block porn-bots on.
Play the game, not the rules.

Wasn't there a moratorium on creating new threads that do nothing but point to an argument on a different board?

Ah sorry I wasn't trying to break any rules. I was just trying to see if others here thought my logic was sound or if my game mechanics reading logic was unsound. I'm not trying to bash the other forum with this thread.

It was a warning flag about pointing to other threads, yes.

But he is asking if his behavior is appropriate and polite, which as far as I know, merely treads on thin ice.

We know we aren't always going to be able to understand or be understood, so asking for help to be understood should be a commendable effort.

Looks more like people going over very confusing, and poorly organized rules.

No real arguing from what I saw in the first couple of pages.

A Ferrus Cranus, you are not. Not from what I've seen you post here at least.
The Gaming Den; where Mathematics are rigorously applied to Mythology.

While everyone's Philosophy is not in accord, that doesn't mean we're not on board.
